About the Role

Tamm is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide technical direction and execution across its platform. This full-time, 100% remote position in Saudi Arabia involves leading engineering efforts as a hands-on player-coach, partnering with the Product lead, and reporting directly to the founder. The role requires consistent code contribution alongside leadership responsibilities.

About Tamm

Tamm operates as an all-in-one platform for online selling within Saudi Arabia. It provides sellers with essential tools including a storefront, payment processing, ZATCA-compliant e-invoicing, and delivery services. With its own print-on-demand factory located in Dammam, Tamm enables individuals to launch brands without requiring inventory or upfront capital. The platform facilitates the creation of products only upon sale, handling printing, packing, and shipping on demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts across the entire platform, functioning as a player-coach.
• Collaborate closely with the Product lead and report to the founder.
• Define architecture, technical standards, and overall technical direction for a TypeScript codebase, including React front end, NestJS microservices, and PostgreSQL.
• Manage infrastructure direction through automation and managed services, focusing on reliability, deployments, security, and cost efficiency.
• Provide hands-on support to unblock the team, review complex changes, and maintain high engineering standards.
• Drive the adoption of AI-native development approaches to enhance team productivity and output.
• Contribute to the codebase weekly, maintaining an active role in development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong proficiency in TypeScript, ****, and React.
• Demonstrated leadership of a small engineering team while actively contributing to development.
• Ability to manage infrastructure end-to-end using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and managed services.
• Strong architectural judgment and a preference for streamlined processes over bureaucracy.
• Experience building with AI technologies and a commitment to integrating AI into team development practices.

Work Environment and Culture

The team operates as a small, senior, and fast-paced unit. Individuals are expected to own outcomes rather than simply processing tickets, setting the standard for how the team builds. The environment minimizes busywork and meetings, focusing on efficient delivery. This is a 100% remote, full-time position.
