Engineering Technician

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position involves responding to and resolving guest repair requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for operational integrity.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment as needed.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Record information for unfinished calls before shift changes.

Operational Duties

• Carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders as required.
• Perform tasks involving reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to guidelines.

Guest Service and Professional Conduct

• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Communicate using clear and professional language.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a similar engineering or maintenance technician role. A strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve repair issues are essential for this position.
