Mindrift - Data annotation is seeking an English-Chinese Bilingual Speaker for a remote voice recording project. This is a project-based freelance opportunity focused on AI training, offering flexibility without fixed hours or traditional commitments.

Role Overview

The role involves recording short, casual voice clips where participants naturally mix English and Chinese, reflecting real-life conversational patterns. There are no scripts or specific scenarios; individuals will speak about daily topics, opinions, or other spontaneous subjects. This opportunity is suitable for those who naturally switch between English and Chinese mid-sentence.

Responsibilities

• Record voice clips, typically 1-2 minutes in length, in response to a prompt or a short video.
• Speak naturally, incorporating both English and Chinese as would occur in everyday conversation.
• Complete multiple clips per recording session.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Language: Full bilingual proficiency in both English and Chinese, with native or fluent ability. Candidates must naturally mix both languages when speaking.
• Experience: 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Equipment: Any recording device is acceptable, including a mobile phone. No specialized studio equipment is required.
• Recording Environment: A quiet room free from background noise such as music, television, traffic, or other conversations.
• Audio Quality: Clear voice recording, with the speaker close to the microphone. Recordings must feature only one speaker and be free of echo. While a headset or earbuds with a microphone can be beneficial, they are not mandatory. High-quality, clean audio is essential, as background noise or unclear speech may affect approval.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

This is a freelance opportunity with payment up to $5 per hour equivalent, depending on the specific project. Compensation is provided per approved recording. The role offers flexibility, allowing work to be conducted remotely from any comfortable location.
