Life Guard

About the Role

Luxury Collection is seeking a Life Guard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at its recreation facilities. This full-time position involves monitoring swimming areas, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe environment for all visitors. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe swimming areas for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when assisting swimmers in need.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform management.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.

Operational Duties

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down ladders, stairs, and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
