Role Summary

The Painter & Wood Polishing Technician is responsible for applying various finishes to property surfaces and furniture, ensuring high standards of quality and appearance. This full-time role involves preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and maintaining tools and equipment, all while upholding the "Gold Standards" of The Ritz-Carlton.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials during painting and post relevant paint signs.
• Clean and store paint, painting tools, and equipment in designated areas.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish as required.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, including reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 0-1 year in a related field.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to move up and down a ladder.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
