About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time, remote position as a PhD Peer Reviewer specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. This is a long-term, stable opportunity for experienced professionals in the field.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough peer reviews of academic manuscripts submitted to scientific journals. Your evaluations will contribute to the integrity and advancement of research in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field.
• Evaluating the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Ensuring that manuscripts adequately incorporate and cite relevant, up-to-date research literature.
• Analyzing the presentation and significance of results, and verifying that conclusions are adequately supported by the data.
• Providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Making recommendations regarding manuscript publication status (acceptance, revision, or rejection) to the journal editor.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• A strong publication record, with at least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant scientific disciplines.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
