About the Role

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to provide expert peer review for academic manuscripts submitted to journals. This involves a thorough evaluation of submitted research to ensure its scientific rigor, originality, and contribution to the field of Electrochemistry. The position is structured as a stable, part-time opportunity that supports remote work, allowing for flexibility in managing your professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate manuscripts for originality, novelty, and contribution to the field of Electrochemistry.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are supported by data and are significant to the field.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding the publication status of the manuscript (*, accept, revise, reject) to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Electrochemistry or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A track record of publishing at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant scientific discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
