About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time, long-term peer review position in Geology, based in Saudi Arabia. This role supports remote work and requires a commitment to providing thorough and objective evaluations of academic manuscripts.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to conduct peer reviews for academic journals. This involves critically assessing submitted manuscripts to ensure their scientific rigor, originality, and adherence to ethical standards. The feedback provided will assist editors in making publication decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, assessing their contribution to the field of Geology.
• Critically examine the study design and methodology to ensure appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity for reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript adequately incorporates and cites relevant and current research within the field.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly supported by the data and are significant to the discipline.
• Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback to authors and editors, highlighting any strengths, weaknesses, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding the publication status of the manuscript (*, accept, revise, reject) based on the evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Geology.
• A record of publishing at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
