Pool Attendant

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Pool Attendant to join its team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position involves serving as a primary resource for recreation activities, providing guests with information about available facilities, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
• Promote a relaxing atmosphere and enforce facility rules and regulations for guest safety.
• Monitor activity within recreational facilities and respond to emergencies in accordance with operating procedures.
• Provide cashier services for point-of-sale transactions in relevant facilities.
• Assist with group activities and events during private functions within recreation facilities.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform management.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Process payments for rental equipment, activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.

Guest Services and Professional Conduct

• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to guests.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, including answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 25 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this role.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Competency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Red Sea region. The role involves working within various recreation facilities, including pools and beaches, and requires adherence to established safety protocols and company standards.
