Role Overview: Pool & Beach Attendant

The Pool & Beach Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of recreational areas while ensuring a positive guest experience. This full-time position requires adherence to The Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standards, which include the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck to maintain hygiene standards.
• Promote a positive and engaging atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities and areas.
• Monitor activity within recreational facilities and respond to emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility for guest safety.
• Identify and report situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company standards.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capacity to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
