Senior Specialist Geology

About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Senior Specialist Geology to provide advanced geological expertise. This full-time role supports mineral exploration, resource evaluation, mine planning, and operational decision-making, contributing to enhanced geological data quality, resource confidence, and sustainable mining operations within the Khurais oil field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping, sampling, logging, and data interpretation.
• Develop and review geological models, resource reports, and technical assessments.
• Identify geological uncertainties and recommend mitigation actions.
• Plan and monitor drilling programs and exploration campaigns.
• Evaluate exploration targets and recommend future opportunities.
• Provide geological advice to planning, engineering, and operational teams.
• Maintain geological data, documentation, and reporting standards.
• Monitor geological risks and ensure compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements.
• Improve geological practices and mentor junior personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in geology.
• Demonstrated expertise in geological analysis, modelling, and exploration support.

Measures of Success

Success in this role will be measured by the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of geological data and models. Effective delivery of high-quality geological information from exploration programs, proactive identification and addressing of geological risks and uncertainties, and the implementation of technical recommendations that enhance planning and operational decisions are key indicators.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Khurais oil field, requiring collaboration with various teams including planning, engineering, and operations.
