FieldCore, a GE Vernova company, is seeking a Senior Technical Field Advisor Electrical for a full-time position in Saudi Arabia. FieldCore, as part of GE Vernova’s Gas Power One Field Services team, specializes in the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of power generation equipment, ensuring reliable and affordable energy for operators globally.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Field Advisor Electrical will manage and coordinate site activities, including planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources such as labor, tools, and technical assistants. This role ensures the completion of work scope according to contractual requirements at customer power generating facilities. The advisor will operate within defined parameters, making decisions, applying complex concepts, and resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, perform, and coordinate site activities.
• Execute on-site installation of systems and equipment, along with preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.
• Respond to emergency repair and service requests for equipment.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
• Perform administrative functions including writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status, customer, time sheet, and expense reports.
• Approve all changes related to projects.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through dedicated commitment.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset, ensuring work adheres to technical requirements and GE safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checks for a wide range of equipment vintages.
• Coach, mentor, and train other team members in field engineering and product knowledge.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future outage reference.
• Verify that all necessary parts for the job are shipped to the site.
• Conduct walk-downs during installation to ensure customer contractors are working effectively.
• Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Technical/University degree or equivalent qualifying experience, OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role.
• Successful completion of required Level IV training programs.
• Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams, dial and laser alignment, and thermal growth equipment.
• Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments is required.
• Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by field assignments.

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to act as a senior FieldCore representative on any qualified unit outage, serving as a project manager and mentor on complex projects.
• Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.
• Extensive Field Engineering Services experience.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong oral and written interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to promote GE products to customers.

Work Environment

This role involves extensive travel for field assignments and projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high safety standards and technical excellence in power generation services.
