Site Supervisor

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Site Supervisor to manage civil construction projects. This full-time role involves overseeing all civil, building, structural engineering, and land surveying activities. The Site Supervisor will handle projects from end-to-end, encompassing planning, design, estimation, scope definition, finalization of techno-commercial aspects, and establishing quality standards. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect construction sites to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Supervise and instruct the construction team and subcontractors.
• Educate site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocols.
• Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
• Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of construction employee attendance.
• Evaluate the performance of construction employees and institute disciplinary measures as needed.
• Analyze blueprints to ensure construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of construction principles, techniques, and methodologies, including knowledge of structural engineering, building codes, and construction materials.
• Proficiency in project management concepts and practices, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, to effectively plan, execute, and monitor construction projects.
• Strong technical skills in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints, and familiarity with construction software and tools for accurate project analysis and documentation.
• Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and propose effective solutions in a dynamic construction environment, demonstrating critical thinking and analytical skills to overcome challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients, facilitating collaboration, resolving conflicts, and ensuring project objectives are met.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.

Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects.
