About the Opportunity

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a dedicated Translator to contribute to specialized language projects. This remote, contract position in Saudi Arabia focuses on audio recording and transcription in native Saudi Arabic. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in related linguistic or media production fields.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to support language data initiatives by capturing authentic Saudi Arabic speech and ensuring its precise written representation. The successful candidate will work independently to deliver high-quality audio and text assets that reflect local dialects and cultural nuances.

Key Responsibilities

• Record a diverse range of audio phrases in native Saudi Arabic using personal recording equipment.
• Produce clear and accurate transcriptions for all recorded audio phrases.
• Engage remotely with the customer's team to receive project instructions and provide feedback.
• Maintain professional written and verbal communication in all team interactions.
• Ensure the authenticity of language usage, accurately reflecting true Saudi dialects and expressions.

Required Qualifications

• Native proficiency in Saudi Arabic, with a deep understanding of local dialects and cultural nuances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently transcribe spoken language.
• Comfort and effectiveness working independently in a remote, part-time environment.
• Proficiency in using various audio recording devices.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote, contract position based in Saudi Arabia, requiring an estimated commitment of 10-40 hours per week. The role offers flexibility within a structured project framework.
