Role Overview

Kyowa Kirin International is seeking a Patient Journey Manager for a contract position based in Abha, South region, KSA. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and associated stakeholders, functioning as a field-based omnichannel conductor. The Patient Journey Manager will leverage an intimate understanding of the entire patient journey to deliver personalized, high-value customer experiences, aiming to shorten the patient journey and improve outcomes aligned with KKI’s Rare Disease portfolio. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

The manager will partner with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate high-quality scientific exchange, co-create, and orchestrate initiatives. These efforts are aligned with KKI priorities and strategy across the patient journey, focusing on improving patient outcomes and optimizing the impact of KKI products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for HCPs and stakeholders, representing Kyowa Kirin within the assigned geography.
  • Implement local Cluster & International Strategy and the Patient and Customer Plan (PCP).
  • Develop territory business plans and account strategies, integrating field insights and aligning with the overall brand plan through cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Payer Value & Patient Access.
  • Demonstrate an intimate understanding of the patient journey to innovate and partner on interventions that shorten time to diagnosis.
  • Possess scientific and clinical knowledge of Nephrology and/or Haematology Oncology and KKI products for credible discussions.
  • Orchestrate, implement, and contribute to the omnichannel engagement strategy, utilizing KKI assets and content aligned with HCP preferences.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs by developing local account plans and executing core strategies.
  • Project manage agreed plans and initiatives to deliver patient-focused outcomes within budgetary requirements.
  • Identify, develop, engage, and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders, including key treatment centers, clinicians, and medical experts.
  • Build networks across the patient journey, partnering with HCPs to provide solutions benefiting patients, customers, and KKI.
  • Articulate clinical data and model assumptions to local payers and stakeholders to support evidence-based arguments for the economic value of KKI products, collaborating with the Payer Value & Patient Access (PV&PA) organization.
  • Demonstrate a working understanding of health policy, rare disease, and the pharmaceutical industry environment.
  • Proactively communicate insights from Key External Experts (KEEs) and other stakeholders to shape strategy and support patient solutions.
  • Attend selected local and international scientific meetings, taking an active role in symposiums and providing speaker briefings.
  • Organize and act as a speaker in Clinical Sessions in hospitals to provide scientific updates.
  • Plan and deliver medical education programs using approved resources to improve patient outcomes and optimize KKI product use.
  • Ensure timely and accurate use of the customer record management (CRM) system and submission of managerial reports.
  • Conduct all activities and projects in compliance with relevant laws, codes, guidelines, Kyowa Kirin Group Code of Conduct, and company policies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly with rare diseases or specialized therapeutic areas like Nephrology or Haematology Oncology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding and navigating complex patient journeys.
  • Strong scientific and clinical acumen to engage in credible discussions with HCPs.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic account plans and omnichannel engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with health policy, pharmaceutical regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and preparing managerial reports.
  • Possession of specific functional and behavioural competencies relevant to the role.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Regular travel within the assigned territory is expected on a weekly basis.
  • The role involves computer use for email and virtual meetings, both from home and office.
  • Limited lifting, such as marketing materials, may be required.
  • A valid driving license is mandatory.
