Spa Therapist

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Spa Therapist to join their team in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This full-time role involves providing massage services and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the service. The Spa Therapist will assess guest needs and maintain current techniques relevant to the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide massage services and body treatments to guests, utilizing appropriate products and techniques.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) prior to commencing services.
• Stay updated with current techniques and modalities within the spa therapy field.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes.
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, and ensure the cleanliness of the workstation and treatment room.
• Monitor and adhere to the daily time schedule.
• Address inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International standard operating procedures, including stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor.
• Maintain current skills and licensure as per regional requirements.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and develop positive working relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
