About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Spa Therapist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing a range of massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products.
• Administer body treatments, including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before treatments.
• Stay updated on current techniques and modalities in the field.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
• Arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes.
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and security throughout services.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and treatment rooms, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to the daily time schedule.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor.
• Maintain current skills and licensure as per regional requirements.

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: A valid State or Regional Massage License is required.
