About the Role

Diyar United Company is seeking a Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Al Khafji, Eastern region. This full-time role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity and robust security posture of our cybersecurity systems and infrastructure. The specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of various security platforms, ensuring their optimal performance and adherence to security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of cybersecurity systems such as Endpoint Protection/EDR platforms, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Email security gateways, and SIEM collectors and sensors. Ensure all systems are operational, updated, and properly configured.
• Apply OS patches and security updates for security appliances (virtual/physical) and supporting servers (Windows/Linux). Track patch status, report compliance, and support vulnerability remediation by validating patches and coordinating with system owners.
• Implement and update firewall rules based on approved requests. Validate rule changes against security standards (least privilege, segmentation) and perform periodic reviews for cleanup and unused rules identification. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all changes.
• Execute and monitor backup processes for cybersecurity systems, including configuration backups (firewalls, EDR, SIEM) and log retention systems. Perform periodic restoration testing to ensure recoverability and maintain backup schedules and integrity checks.
• Apply baseline hardening standards (*, CIS benchmarks) to ensure secure configurations for operating systems and security tools. Monitor configuration drift and remediate deviations.
• Conduct daily checks on system availability and agent/sensor health (EDR, SIEM collectors). Generate health reports, escalate issues, and support alert triage when related to infrastructure failures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or cybersecurity operations.
• Hands-on exposure to Windows/Linux administration and basic networking and security tools.

Technical Skills

• Operating Systems: Windows Server (patching, basic administration), Linux (basic commands, updates, services).
• Networking: TCP/IP fundamentals, Firewall concepts (NAT, ACLs, ports).
• Security Tools (basic exposure): EDR / Antivirus platforms, Firewalls (*, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks), Backup concepts and tools.
• Basic Scripting: PowerShell or Bash preferred.

Core Competencies and Certifications

Candidates should demonstrate the following core competencies:

• Strong attention to detail, critical for rule changes and patching.
• Operational discipline and adherence to established procedures.
• Basic troubleshooting and analytical thinking abilities.
• Ability to follow structured processes, including SOPs and runbooks.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with SOC and IT teams.

Relevant certifications are also valued:

• Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
• Any vendor-specific certification in security platforms is considered a plus.
