Penspen is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position.

Role Overview

The Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and validating instrumentation and control engineering deliverables for major oil and gas/petrochemical projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards, participating in design reviews, and supporting commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee instrumentation and control engineering deliverables developed by EPC contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards (ISA, IEC).
• Review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control logic narratives.
• Validate integration between control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G) and field instruments.
• Evaluate vendor submittals, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures, and technical deviations.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure the operability and maintainability of control systems.
• Support field verification, loop checks, and commissioning activities.
• Provide assurance of compliance with project HSE and control system standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in engineering.
• At least six (6) years of this experience must be specifically within the field of Instrumentation & Control Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• Demonstrated experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is required.

Compensation

The salary for this position is negotiable and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
