Position Summary
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the purchasing process to ensure JABA has the necessary goods and services to operate efficiently. This includes identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring procurement aligns with company policies and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Management
    • Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
    • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
    • Maintain a supplier database for various categories of goods and services.
  • Purchasing Operations
    • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including preparing purchase orders and managing approvals.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve the best value for JABA.
    • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet operational requirements.
  • Inventory and Cost Management
    • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess.
    • Collaborate with finance and operations to manage budgets and control procurement costs.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, and supplier agreements.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Saudi regulations and JABA’s policies.
    • Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier evaluations.
    • Assist in audits and maintain accurate documentation of procurement transactions.
  • Sustainability and Innovation
    • Identify eco-friendly and sustainable procurement opportunities aligned with JABA’s vision.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to improve procurement efficiency.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A professional certification (*, CIPS, CSCP) is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 35 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in the tourism, hospitality, or outdoor adventure industries.

Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of Saudi procurement regulations and practices.
  • Effective communication skills in Arabic and English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sourcing equipment for outdoor and adventure activities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices.
  • Familiarity with Destination Management Companies (DMCs).
