About the Role

ENGIE Solutions Middle East is seeking a full-time MEP Engineer Saudi National to join its team in Buqayq, Eastern Province. This role is integral to supporting the King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), a premier industrial ecosystem dedicated to the region’s energy and manufacturing sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the park, bringing 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Scope

The MEP Engineer supports SPARK's commitment to operational excellence and sustainable infrastructure. This position focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and performance optimization of MEP systems within both building and infrastructure assets. This includes tenant facilities, substations, pumping stations, utility corridors, and common areas, ensuring high operational standards and system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance and operational status of MEP systems, including HVAC, water supply, drainage, fire protection, lighting, power distribution, and pumping stations.
  • Conduct site inspections and support maintenance activities for MEP systems across infrastructure and building facilities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, fault analysis, and resolution of MEP-related technical issues.
  • Support the technical review and commissioning of new MEP installations or refurbished systems, including method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in coordination with O&M contractors, verifying activities against SLAs and technical standards.
  • Track utility consumption data (electricity, water, chilled water), identify abnormal usage trends, and support energy efficiency measures.
  • Ensure all MEP activities comply with local regulations, SPARK standards, and international codes (*, SBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IEC), and enforce HSE protocols.
  • Liaise with external contractors and vendors, monitor their performance, and coordinate site-level activities for maintenance, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Maintain up-to-date MEP documentation, including drawings, asset registers, test reports, and maintenance logs, and assist in preparing technical reports and recommendations.

Reporting and Collaboration

The MEP Engineer reports directly to the Senior MEP Engineer. This role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and compliance.

  • Internal Stakeholders: Facilities Management, Utilities and Sustainability Teams, Engineering and Projects, HSE and Compliance, Procurement and Vendor Management.
  • External Stakeholders: O&M contractors and service providers, Engineering consultants, Utility suppliers, and Regulatory bodies for inspections and compliance matters.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in MEP systems support, maintenance, and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, water supply, drainage, fire protection, lighting, and power distribution.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, SPARK standards, and international codes such as SBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, and IEC.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, reporting, and coordination with contractors and FM teams.
