Job Summary
The barista at Bayt Ward Restaurant prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, especially traditional coffee and other drinks associated with Lebanese cuisine, ensuring high-quality service to customers. The role requires a good understanding of coffee flavors and types, in addition to attention to the finest details in preparation and presentation that reflects the distinctive Lebanese hospitality.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Preparing Beverages
- Preparing Arabic coffee or traditional coffee (such as black coffee and coffee with cardamom) and serving it professionally.
- Preparing various drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, etc.) using professional coffee equipment.
- Designing special beverages for the restaurant that suit the Lebanese character and customer preferences.
- Providing Service to Customers
- Accurately and warmly welcoming customer orders and providing suitable suggestions based on their preferences.
- Ensuring customer needs are met and listening to their feedback to improve service quality.
- Maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that expresses genuine Lebanese hospitality.
- Attention to Quality and Cleanliness
- Complying with health standards and food safety in all stages of preparation and serving.
- Cleaning and maintaining coffee machines and tools used after each shift, ensuring they are ready for continuous operation.
- Keeping the work area clean and organized according to the restaurant's approved regulations.
- Inventory Management and Coordination
- Monitoring supplies of coffee, milk, flavors, and other supplies, and reporting any shortages or reorder requests in a timely manner.
- Coordinating with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth workflow and quick customer order fulfillment.
- Adhering to management instructions regarding internal policies, pricing, and promotional offers.
- Skill and Knowledge Development
- Participating in the restaurant's training and workshops on coffee preparation art and hospitality techniques.
- Staying updated on the latest coffee trends and new techniques in the coffee industry.
- Contributing to the development of new beverage recipes and proposing innovative ideas to enhance customer experience.
- Work Experience
- At least one year of experience in coffee preparation (barista) or a similar field.
- Previous experience in a Lebanese restaurant or Eastern hospitality environment is a plus.

- Ability to interact warmly with customers and provide excellent service.
