Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic "Coffee Maker" (Barista) to join our café team. The primary role of the barista is to skillfully and accurately prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages of various types (espresso, latte, cappuccino, pour-over coffee, etc.). The candidate should have a friendly and hospitable personality to provide excellent customer service and ensure an enjoyable and comfortable experience for all café visitors. Key Responsibilities: - Beverage Preparation: Operating and using various coffee preparation equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing tools (such as V60, Chemex). Grinding coffee beans, calibrating espresso doses, and adjusting coffee extraction to ensure optimal flavor. Steaming and pouring milk (Latte Art) with precision and professionalism. Preparing other hot and cold beverages besides coffee (such as tea, juices, hot chocolate). - Customer Service and Interaction: Welcoming customers warmly and politely, taking their orders accurately and efficiently. Making recommendations on the drink menu and various café products. Handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly to resolve issues and ensure their satisfaction. Operating the POS system and managing cash and credit card payments. - Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area, including the bar, machines, and preparation tools at all times. Implementing daily and weekly cleaning procedures for equipment to ensure coffee quality and prolong the life of the machines. Strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene standards and overall café cleanliness. - Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, cups, and other supplies. Informing the café manager when orders need to be replenished to avoid any product shortages. Required Qualifications & Experience: - Experience: Previous experience as a barista in a café (preferably at least 6 months), or a strong passion for coffee and a strong desire to learn and acquire skills. - Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of different coffee types (Arabica, Robusta) and understanding of roasting and extraction concepts. - Personal Skills: Excellent communication skills and politeness in dealing with others. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues. Speed and ability to work under pressure during peak hours. Strong attention to detail and quality in every cup of coffee served. - Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift light to medium weights (such as milk cartons or coffee beans). - Languages: Proficiency in Arabic is preferred, and basic knowledge of English (depending on the café's needs and the nature of the customers).
