Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies.
  • Manage daily purchasing activities and supervise the purchasing staff.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers through effective communication and negotiation of contracts, prices, and timelines.
  • Oversee the supplier database, purchase records, and all related documentation.
  • Coordinate with inventory control to assess and manage inventory needs.
  • Ensure all procured items meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets effectively.
  • Enhance purchasing systems and processes for optimal efficiency.
  • Train new employees on purchasing processes and systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a purchasing manager or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Management and supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
