About the Marine Assurance Lead Role

Algihaz Marine Contractors is seeking a dedicated and experienced Marine Assurance Lead to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for overseeing and coordinating all marine assurance activities within the Kingdom, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services across all projects and operations.

Role Purpose and Key Interfaces

The Marine Assurance Lead acts as the primary interface for marine assurance, representing the company with the Saudi Aramco Rig Move Office and other key client stakeholders. A core aspect of this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with project, operations, and marine teams to facilitate seamless assurance processes and compliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all marine assurance activities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Serve as the primary focal point for marine assurance with the Saudi Aramco Rig Move Office and other key client stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with client, project, operations, and vessel management teams.
  • Ensure vessel inspections, audits, and assurance activities are planned, conducted, and reported in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Maintain the quality, consistency, and technical standard of all inspections completed by the Marine Assurance team.
  • Undertake ad hoc vessel inspections, audits, and assurance activities to support operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements, international maritime regulations, and company assurance standards.
  • Review inspection findings, monitor corrective actions, and ensure timely close-out of identified issues.
  • Support vessel acceptance, mobilization, and contractor assurance activities across all projects.
  • Provide technical marine assurance advice and support to project and operational teams.
  • Prepare and present assurance reports, trends, and performance updates to senior management and clients.

Team Leadership and Development

This role provides leadership and oversight to the Marine Assurance team, fostering high performance and professional development. The Lead will be responsible for mentoring team members, monitoring team performance and KPIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the assurance framework.

Required Experience and Attributes

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in marine assurance or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a meticulous approach to compliance, and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of operational integrity.
