About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to lead commercial expansion activities within the building materials sector across Saudi and Gulf markets with NADIA. Your leadership will be crucial in identifying new investment opportunities and strengthening relationships with clients and suppliers. You will play a key role in enhancing the company’s market share and presence in construction and infrastructure projects.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
* Business Development & Relationship Management
- Identify new business opportunities in local and Gulf markets (projects, suppliers, distributors, contractors).
- Build strategic relationships with construction companies, real estate developers, government entities, and consulting firms.
- Monitor mega projects and coordinate with sales teams to submit competitive proposals.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and official meetings locally and internationally.
- Conduct regular competitor, pricing, and market trend analyses.

* Planning & Execution
- Develop an annual business development plan including target sales, new clients, and target markets.
- Set clear objectives for revenue growth and income diversification.
- Lead the introduction of new products or services in coordination with sales and marketing teams.
- Develop commercial partnerships and alliances within and outside the Kingdom.

* Client & Project Management
- Oversee the company’s registration processes as an approved vendor with government and semi-government entities.
- Manage customer and project databases using CRM systems or SAP Business One.
- Follow up on agreements and contracts to ensure all parties meet their obligations.
- Contribute to the preparation of commercial and financial proposals in coordination with relevant departments.

* Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly reports on business development KPIs (new clients, closed deals, bid values).
- Analyze actual results against strategic targets and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Propose improvements to sales procedures and commercial expansion policies.

* Compliance & Governance
- Adhere to the company's approved policies and procedures.
- Comply with regulations issued by the Ministry of Human Resources, GOSI, and commercial laws in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
- Ensure business operations align with quality standards (ISO 9001) and environmental & safety requirements (ISO 45001/14001 where applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or Architecture. MBA preferred.

Professional Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in business development or sales within the building materials or construction sector in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf.

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of building materials (steel, wood, concrete, insulation, finishing materials).
- Proficiency in ERP systems, especially SAP Business One.
- Ability to conduct market research and commercial feasibility studies.
- Experience in CRM and customer relationship management.

Managerial Skills
- Leadership, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Experience managing sales teams and project teams.
- Strong presentation and professional communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong business networks.

Languages
- Arabic (essential), English (advanced).

Regulatory Knowledge
- Familiarity with regulations of the Ministry of Commerce, Chambers of Commerce, and government tendering systems in Saudi Arabia.

  • Proven track record in business development (B2B) and account management, preferably within the industrial and engineering sector in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong network and experience working within the Oil & Gas, Construction, Power, Defence, Railway, Mining, and F&B sector.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific challenges, procurement cycles, and local regulations.
  • Familiarity with the specification process, including influencing product specifications with consultants, EPCs or end users.
  • Experience with vendor registration processes, including prequalification and approvals.
  • Awareness of current industry trends and localization initiatives (* IKTVA).
  • Excellent lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to assess customer needs and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Fluency in English is a must; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within the Kingdom as needed.
