Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Sous Chef in directing and controlling food production.
- Share ideas and suggestions to improve the menu and kitchen environment.
- Ensure consistency in the preparation of food items and adhere to property recipes.
- Communicate effectively with the team and seek guest feedback.
- Assist in developing and implementing standards for recipes, portion size, and costing.
- Monitor and check buffet and banqueting setups as per specifications.
- Guide the culinary team to maintain Sofitel's quality and food cost standards.
- Ensure adherence to Food Safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Promote teamwork and morale within the kitchen and across departments.
Qualifications:
Your experience and skills should include:
- 46 years of cooking experience in high-end luxury hotels, with at least 2 years in a similar position.
- Food Safety Certificate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in both a la carte and production cooking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Innovative and detail-oriented approach to cooking.
