About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an IT Manager for a contract position in Al Madinah (Medina). This role involves providing first and some second-level technology support, focusing on break-fix services including repairs, installations, and system maintenance for designated properties. The IT Manager will operate within established guidelines to complete routine tasks and will be responsible for maintaining property-based systems with a particular focus on sophisticated technology equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute general knowledge and skill in technology to support property operations.
• Perform repairs, installations, and maintenance for property-based systems.
• Manage technology needs within budget targets, including input for CAPEX and operating budgets based on anticipated IT projects.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott International Policies (MIPs) and Information Security Manuals (ISMs), implementing solutions for discrepancies.
• Process equipment orders for personal computers, telecommunications, and local servers/networks, and manage related invoices.
• Conduct periodic inventories of applications and hardware, preparing reports as requested.
• Confirm the security of technology assets and ensure compliance with technology-related vendor contracts.

Customer Relationship Management

• Write and present proposals, analyses, project plans, and cost models in written or oral formats.
• Provide customer service to associates at dedicated properties.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, vendors, and peer groups.
• Provide detailed status reports as requested.

Technology Operations and Support

• Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity efforts related to technology.
• Provide technical guidance and escalate support for Marriott-approved technology solutions and Request Center Processes.
• Support guest and associate internet access requirements.
• Escalate problems as appropriate through direct supervisors, CLS IT Field, or Marriott IT resources.
• Image desktops, install new software applications, apply patches, and map drives to appropriate servers/networks.
• Manage PC/peripheral moves, adds, and changes, including data migration when necessary.
• Perform routine desktop backups as scheduled or directed, and provide end-user support.
• Confirm technology security measures (*, encryption, patch deployment) and compliance (*, Quarterly ID Audits, MAARK1).
• Support unit infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, APs) and engage appropriate MI IT and/or vendor resources.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a secure server environment, performing server backups and routine preventative maintenance.
• Provide support for corporate, regional, and property initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in an IT support role, demonstrating general knowledge and skill in technology. The role requires familiarity with sophisticated technology equipment and processes, along with the ability to work within established guidelines to complete routine tasks effectively.
