Supervisor Engineering

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Engineering to join its team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of various tools, appliances, and equipment within the hotel premises. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, recommending replacements as needed.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, and meters, and identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines, and utilize computer systems for work-related information.
• Operate power lifts and complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems, and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure compliance with company and safety and security policies, report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in engineering or maintenance roles, preferably within a hospitality environment. A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues is required.

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Saudi Arabia, within the dynamic environment of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. The role requires active participation in a team-oriented setting and adherence to established operational procedures.
