Technician Communications

About the Role

Le Meridien is seeking a Technician-Communications to join their team in Medina. This full-time role involves planning and coordinating IT-related equipment installations, system enhancements, and resolving technical issues to ensure reliable performance. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements for information technology equipment to improve reliability and performance.
• Enter commands and activate controls on computer and peripheral equipment.
• Resolve non-routine problems related to hardware, software, or guest room internet access.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices.
• Maintain PBX/telephone switchboard systems and associated hardware.
• Ensure computer and telephone rooms are kept locked at all times, with access restricted using an interrogated key system.

Operational Duties

• Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

Physical Requirements and General Tasks

• Read and visually verify information.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Enter and locate information using computers and/or Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
