As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading engaging and interactive educational tours for visitors and tourists, aimed at enhancing appreciation for heritage and historical landmarks. This role requires a deep understanding of the cultural, historical, and archaeological significance of sites, along with the ability to convey this information attractively and appropriately for various audiences.

This role requires a deep understanding of the cultural, historical, and archaeological significance of sites, along with the ability to convey this information attractively and appropriately for various audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct interactive guided tours that highlight the historical, cultural, and social significance of heritage sites.
- Utilize storytelling techniques to make the visitor experience more engaging and inclusive.
- Research prior to tours to stay updated on developments related to the sites to ensure accurate and current information delivery.
- Encourage visitor interaction through Q&A sessions, discussions, and activities that enhance their understanding of heritage.
- Collaborate with the visitor center team to create an integrated experience for guests, effectively utilizing center resources.
- Monitor group dynamics and adjust communication strategies to maintain an inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
- Collect visitor feedback after each tour for continuous improvement of the tour experience and address any comments or suggestions.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or higher in Tourism, History, or a related field.
- Experience: At least one year in a similar role, with proven experience in providing guided tours.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Historical and Cultural Knowledge: Extensive knowledge about the history, heritage, and culture of the surrounding areas.
- Interaction Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with visitors of various ages and backgrounds.
- Educational Techniques: Familiarity with teaching methods and adapting to the interests and knowledge levels of visitors.
- Work Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules based on shifts to meet visitor needs.
