About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join our dedicated team in Medina, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are eager to contribute to the efficient operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The Maintenance Helper will perform a variety of essential repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Address minor plumbing issues, including unclogging drains and toilets, and repairing leaks in sinks or faucets.
• Execute various minor repairs such as tightening toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, which includes cleaning and lubrication.
• Ensure compliance with all quality requirements and operational standards.
• Welcome and assist guests according to company standards, anticipate and respond to their needs, and provide support to individuals with reduced mobility.
• Communicate clearly and courteously in all interactions.
• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships, actively listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management that are consistent with the nature of the role.

Physical Demands of the Role

• Ability to perform movements such as bending, kneeling, turning, pulling, and stooping.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machinery for operational integrity.
• Independently move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 23 kilograms.
• Assist in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing over * kilograms (*, air conditioners, televisions, dressers).
• Ascend and descend stairs, service access points, and/or ladders.
• Carry, turn, and manipulate loads of various sizes and weights.

Safety and Professional Standards

• Adhere to all brand and hotel safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Maintain a clean and complete work uniform, ensuring a neat and professional appearance at all times on company premises.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary brand and/or hotel information and protect all company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience in a maintenance or similar role.
