Exploration Superintendent

About the Role

Virtucruit is collaborating with a leading mining company to find an experienced Exploration Superintendent. This full-time position is based in Najran and involves leading and managing comprehensive exploration programs. The role focuses on overseeing drilling campaigns, geological mapping, and resource evaluation activities to support the company's strategic growth and resource development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute exploration programs, including drilling, sampling, and geological mapping.
• Lead and supervise exploration teams, comprising geologists, field technicians, and contractors.
• Ensure all exploration activities adhere to safety, HSE, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee drilling operations, including contractor management, scheduling, and performance tracking.
• Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support resource evaluation.
• Prepare technical reports, exploration updates, and resource estimates.
• Manage exploration budgets and ensure cost-effective program delivery.
• Coordinate with mine planning, resource geology, and operations teams.
• Identify new exploration targets and contribute to long-term resource development strategies.
• Ensure proper data collection, validation, and reporting in line with industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 8-15 years of experience in exploration management within the mining industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage exploration programs effectively.
• Strong understanding of geological principles, drilling techniques, and resource evaluation methodologies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Najran, requiring active leadership and on-site management of exploration activities.
