Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is available across all SA Regions, specifically in Neom, Tabuk, and Riyadh. The role involves providing contractual leadership within a major program, managing civil engineering projects from detailed design through to completion, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Role Overview

The Senior Civil Engineer will oversee the design, planning, and execution of infrastructure projects. This includes providing technical expertise and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in civil engineering, capable of leading complex projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project execution to ensure progress aligns with the approved baseline schedule.
• Track procurement activities for civil and structural materials, identifying and managing long-lead items.
• Prepare and communicate project progress reports, highlighting delays, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
• Lead contractor meetings to review progress, resolve conflicts, address obstacles, and implement effective solutions.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks through continuous monitoring and mitigation planning.
• Oversee project closeout and handover phases, ensuring all deliverables are completed and documented.
• Review and validate structural and infrastructure designs, calculations, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through site inspections, defect identification, non-conformance management, and adherence to project specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and stakeholder management by mentoring engineering teams, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, resolving technical queries, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing civil engineering projects from detailed design through completion.
• Proven ability to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Experience in overseeing design, planning, and execution of infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical expertise in civil engineering.
