About the role:The accountant is responsible for processing payments and expense reports, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, creating accurate and timely financial records, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform monthly bank and AR/AP reconciliation processes.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT and other tax forms.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning.
- Receive and record vendors invoices.
- Perform audits and provide recommendations for improving financial procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Use accounting software and systems for financial management.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in professional accounting.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Active SOCPA membership.
