The Role: Quality Assurance Manager (Seafood)

Almarai is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager (Seafood) to join its team in Makkah or Rabigh. This full-time role is critical for ensuring adherence to company Quality and Food Safety Policies, Quality Management Systems, and regulatory requirements within the seafood manufacturing facility. The manager will lead all quality-related processes and resources, fostering a culture of food safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain site Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HACCP plans and food safety programs in accordance with ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and international food safety certifications.
• Manage laboratory operations, including microbiological, chemical, and product quality testing activities.
• Lead internal and external audits to ensure successful certification and compliance outcomes.
• Monitor quality KPIs, customer complaints, product non-conformances, recalls, and food safety incidents, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance, waste reduction, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage supplier quality performance, including packaging and raw material suppliers.
• Lead hygiene, housekeeping, pest control, and environmental monitoring programs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Quality team, building a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
• Develop annual departmental budgets and ensure effective cost management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of Quality Assurance experience within food manufacturing.
• Strong experience in the seafood processing industry is essential.
• Experience managing food safety systems, laboratory operations, and quality teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with microbiological risk management, product quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Previous experience within a multinational FMCG or food manufacturing organization is highly desirable.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in either Makkah or Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic multinational team dedicated to supporting Almarai's growth plans.
