About the Role
International Maritime Industries is seeking an Inspector I QC Mechanical to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on ensuring that all mechanical inspection activities are conducted safely, effectively, and efficiently, adhering to technical requirements, company policies, procedures, and Management System standards. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection and test requirements.
- Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies for functionality, operation, and accuracy, verifying adherence to specifications.
- Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
- Ensure all mechanical and pressure testing department installation activities comply with approved procedures, client specifications, and technical documentation.
- Oversee the preservation of all project equipment according to company standards and vendor recommendations.
- Complete and endorse all inspection records from initial inspection to final acceptance of mechanical and associated work.
- Maintain client interface to ensure all contractual and code requirements related to the inspection scope are met.
- Develop standards and procedures for inspection and tests, overseeing all testing methods while maintaining high quality standards.
- Develop method statements for activities, including risk assessment, job safety & environmental analysis, Inspection & Test Plan, and checklists based on project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Qualifications:
- Welding Inspection (CSWIP ******** or equivalent schemes).
- ISO 9001:2015 auditor or lead auditor certification.
- Any other certification related to project quality management is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in quality works within marine engineering industries (ship & rig building).
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment installation and commissioning activities.
- Ability to apply engineering science and technology for smooth mechanical operations.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Ras Tannurah, within the Eastern region, focusing on critical inspection activities for International Maritime Industries.
