International Maritime Industries is seeking a QC Structural & Architecture Inspector to join their team in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on ensuring that all structural and architectural construction activities adhere to technical requirements and company standards.

Role Overview

The QC Structural & Architecture Inspector is responsible for overseeing fabrication and erection activities to ensure they are carried out safely, effectively, and efficiently. This includes verifying compliance with applicable technical requirements, company policies, procedures, and the Management System.

Key Accountabilities

• Verify the identity of structural materials (plate, beam, angle, etc.) and their conformance to installation drawings and specifications.
• Confirm that fit-up and welding inspections have been performed and joints released.
• Verify dimensions and alignment tolerances of structural components against construction specifications and drawings using equipment such as EDM, theodolite, and dumpy level.
• Conduct random, cross-verification, and in-process surveillance to ensure compliance with approved specifications, WPS, weld consumables, and the use of qualified welders and processes.
• Identify project consumable needs and coordinate with the PSCM team to ensure timely ordering and proper management of stock to prevent shortages.
• Perform walkdown inspections and punch listing for structural components, verifying that punch list items are addressed per contractual arrangements. Witness final acceptance and applicable tests.
• Complete and endorse all inspection records from initial inspection through final acceptance of structural and associated work.
• Maintain communication with the Client to ensure all contractual and code requirements related to the inspection scope are met.
• Develop and implement standards and procedures for inspections and tests, overseeing testing methods to maintain high quality.
• Develop method statements for activities, including risk assessment, job safety & environmental analysis, Inspection & Test Plans, and checklists based on project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong understanding of structural and architectural quality control processes.

This position is based in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, with potential work in areas such as Ras Tannurah.
