The Role: Teacher Assistant - Healthcare Facilitator

The Teacher Assistant - Healthcare Facilitator will provide essential support to teachers and students, with a primary focus on health facilitation within the school environment. This contract role involves assisting with student needs, administrative tasks, and serving as the primary healthcare facilitator on-site. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with small groups of students or individual students based on their specific needs and under teacher direction.
• Provide support to teachers with routine, clerical, administrative, and non-professional duties as assigned.
• Function primarily as the Healthcare Facilitator at the school site, managing related responsibilities.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 60 semester hours of post-secondary credit or 2 years of academic training beyond high school.
• At least 3 years of full-time employment experience.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Good command of the English language.
• Ability to type with reasonable speed and accuracy.
• Proficiency in operating duplicating machines, audio, and visual equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with assigned groups of students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a healthcare facilitator.
• A background related to nursing.
