About the Opportunity

DSS Sustainable Solutions Switzerland SA is seeking a Freelance Behaviour & Psychological Safety Consultant for a full-time engagement based in Riyadh. This role supports organisational transformation programmes within high-hazard industries, focusing on human factors, psychology, and behavioural science.

Role Purpose and Context

The consultant will contribute to transformation initiatives across sectors such as Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Chemicals. This position combines deep industry and field experience with expertise in understanding human behaviour, psychological safety, and the people impacts of change. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to design and implement sustainable change initiatives that improve business performance, strengthen safety culture, and enhance workforce engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and influence behavioural change within organisational transformation programmes.
  • Measure the effectiveness of transformation programmes.
  • Embed practices that promote psychological safety, resilience, and high-performing teams.
  • Translate psychological and human factors principles into practical, measurable workplace outcomes.
  • Work closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to implement change initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience, demonstrating proven capability in delivering behavioural safety change management and transformation initiatives in industrial or high-hazard environments.
  • Field-based operational experience within sectors such as Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Manufacturing, or Energy.
  • Strong background in Human Factors, Psychology, or Behavioural Science.

Essential Skills and Expertise

  • Expertise in psychological safety, behavioural change, culture transformation, and workforce engagement.
  • Ability to measure, assess, and influence behavioural outcomes associated with organisational change.
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with experience working from frontline teams through to senior leadership.
  • Understanding of how individuals and organisations respond to change.
