About the Opportunity

Aventus Global Talent is seeking a Corporate Credit Manager for a leading regional bank client. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and involves joining the bank's Risk function. The role focuses on reviewing and approving corporate lending activities, maintaining the health of the wholesale portfolio, and ensuring all exposures align with the bank’s risk appetite, credit policy, and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview

The Corporate Credit Manager will play a critical role in managing the bank's corporate credit exposures. This involves a comprehensive approach to credit assessment, portfolio monitoring, and adherence to internal and external compliance standards. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure sound credit decisions and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Review corporate credit applications to ensure alignment with the bank’s strategy, risk appetite, and credit policy.
• Approve facilities and limit excesses within delegated authority, and recommend larger proposals to senior management.
• Collaborate with relationship teams to structure deals, including conducting industry, sector, and counterparty risk analysis.
• Engage directly with borrowers, including on-site visits, to validate the business case supporting each request.
• Monitor the portfolio closely, identify early warning signs, and recommend downgrades, provisions, or remedial actions.
• Drive the resolution of overdue exposures, limit breaches, documentation gaps, and lapsed reviews, including rescheduling when necessary.
• Ensure all lending activities comply with internal policy and SAMA regulations.
• Act as the primary credit point of contact for senior business stakeholders, audit teams, and the regulator, and lead special credit initiatives as required.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in corporate credit management.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role involves working within the Risk function of a prominent regional bank.
