About the Investment Manager Role

Derayah Financial is seeking an Investment Manager to join its Alternative Investments team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on private equity (PE) transactions and investment due diligence. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and selecting investment opportunities for the firm.

Role Overview and Contribution

The Investment Manager will be responsible for conducting comprehensive due diligence processes and managing a portfolio of PE funds. This role requires a professional capable of providing critical insights and recommendations based on rigorous analysis and assessment to support investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the due diligence process for potential private equity investments, including in-depth assessment of market dynamics, competitive positioning, management team capabilities, and potential risks.
  • Perform advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate historical performance, projected returns, downside scenarios, and valuation ranges.
  • Review and negotiate legal agreements, fund terms, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Drive investment decision-making by preparing detailed investment memoranda, presentations, and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to forecast fund performance, track investment metrics, and conduct sensitivity analysis.
  • Actively monitor and evaluate existing portfolio investments, tracking fund performance, market trends, and manager updates.
  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management to optimize portfolio performance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with the broader investment team to identify emerging investment trends, develop investment theses, and contribute to the formulation and execution of PE funds.
  • Cultivate relationships with fund managers, industry experts, and key stakeholders to stay informed on market developments and identify unique investment opportunities.
  • Represent Derayah Financial in meetings, conference calls, industry forums, and networking events.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in private equity, advisory, or M&A, demonstrating a track record of success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of private equity fund structures, strategies, and industry dynamics.
  • Proven ability to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis, with demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment research.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex investment concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools.
