Medical Science Liaison

About the Role

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position reporting to the Medical Affairs Manager. The MSL is responsible for implementing medical goals and tactics, providing scientific information to healthcare professionals, and building scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in specialty care and rare diseases.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute stakeholder and external expert development and engagement initiatives.
• Maintain and build medical and scientific expertise for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
• Manage and disseminate scientific knowledge to both external and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate collected insights to internal cross-functional teams to enhance understanding of healthcare landscape changes, patient journeys, and stakeholder needs.
• Facilitate advisory boards, conduct round-table discussions, and foster peer-to-peer communication.
• Provide medical training and updates for the assigned therapy area to the internal field force and brand team as required.
• Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local laws and regulations, including the pharmaceutical industry code of conduct.
• Support digitalization across therapeutic areas and innovative programs by identifying and suggesting new platforms and initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A deep understanding of the patient journey and the evolving healthcare and stakeholder landscape.
• Experience level: 2-5 years in a relevant field.
