Magrabi Health is seeking an Optometrist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive optometry examinations and managing contact lens services for a diverse patient population. This role involves direct patient care, supervision, and participation in training initiatives within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform optometry examinations, including testing, refraction, and fitting of soft and hard contact lenses.
• Address patient needs for myopia, hyperopia, aphakia, astigmatism, post-surgical cases (*, trauma, cataract, PKP), and aberrations such as keratoconus, scarring, trauma, and droplet keratopathy.
• Manage contact lens supplies, lenses, equipment, and solutions to ensure availability and proper functioning.
• Ensure compliance of subordinate staff with all hospital and departmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct low vision evaluations for patients requiring specialized care.
• Provide direct supervision and involvement in the area of pediatric aphakic and rigid contact lenses.
• Participate in the training of subordinates and residents within the optometry department.
• Provide input regarding the clinical performance of contact lens technicians and assistants as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Optometrist.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive optometry examinations and contact lens fittings.
• Experience with various patient conditions, including post-surgical cases and corneal aberrations.
