About the Role

stc is seeking a Security Design & Implementation Expert to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for designing specialized cybersecurity and network security architecture, frameworks, and protocols. The expert will safeguard infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats, ensuring proactive detection, prevention, and response measures are implemented in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to establish robust cybersecurity and network security defenses. This involves developing and maintaining secure architectures and protocols to protect digital environments and critical assets from evolving cyber threats, while adhering to established business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design network security frameworks to protect infrastructure, technology assets, and data, aligning with cybersecurity strategies and industry regulations.
• Develop and maintain specialized network and cybersecurity architecture to safeguard digital environments and ensure resilience against cyber threats.
• Establish device-level security guidelines for Mission-Critical and Business-Critical systems, including access controls, encryption standards, and authentication protocols.
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Mission-Critical Security Operations Center (SOC) for proactive threat detection, incident response, and mitigation.
• Coordinate vendor activities related to SOC deployment and cybersecurity system upgrades, ensuring compliance with specialized technical and security requirements.
• Implement and monitor preventative security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus tools to protect the organization from external threats.
• Support the integration of advanced threat detection tools (*, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS) to enable real-time security monitoring and response capabilities.
• Develop and maintain vulnerability assessment plans across specialized systems, networks, and applications to detect and resolve potential weaknesses.
• Improve and adapt penetration testing and vulnerability management methodologies in response to emerging cybersecurity challenges.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and communication protocols to minimize damage from security breaches and report Mission-Critical related breaches to the MCC as required.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in security design and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement cybersecurity and network security architectures.
• Experience with preventative security solutions and advanced threat detection tools.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and incident response.
