Site Engineer

About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their Roads & Highways project team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with significant experience in civil engineering, specifically within road and highway infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

The Site Engineer will be responsible for the supervision and monitoring of site activities, ensuring that all construction works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, established quality standards, and overall project requirements. The role involves overseeing daily operations and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site construction activities for roads and highway infrastructure projects.
• Ensure construction works adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor roadworks activities, including earthworks, grading, excavation, embankment, subgrade preparation, sub-base, road base, and asphalt paving.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Review construction drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Monitor site progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Identify site issues, technical challenges, and construction discrepancies, coordinating with relevant teams for timely resolution.
• Review and verify contractor work progress, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and standards.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and other relevant project documentation.
• Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to ensure effective communication and timely delivery of project milestones.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Strong expertise in road and highway infrastructure projects.
• Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia is required.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves direct supervision of site activities within the region.
