The Role of Sr. Solutions Architect

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires you to apply your technical expertise to demonstrate how the Databricks Data & Intelligence Platform can help customers solve their complex data challenges. You will work within a collaborative, customer-focused team that values innovation and creativity, focusing on creating customized solutions to help customers achieve their goals and guide their businesses forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Form successful relationships with enterprise clients throughout Saudi Arabia, providing technical and business value in collaboration with Account Executives.
• Act as an expert in big data analytics to engage customers and serve as a trusted advisor on architecture, design, and implementation for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Scale best practices and support customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
• Contribute to building the Databricks community in the region by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
• Engage customers in technical sales discussions, address their questions, guide clear outcomes, and communicate technical and value propositions.
• Develop customer relationships and build internal partnerships with account executives and other teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Prior experience with coding in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
• Proficiency with Big Data Analytics technologies, including hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platform(s).
• Experience in use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to diverse audiences, requiring the ability to adjust technical depth.
• Business proficiency in both Arabic and English is required.

Work Environment and Location

This role is based in the Riyadh region, requiring a commutable distance for a hybrid work schedule. The position involves flexibility to travel up to 30% as needed for customer meetings, events, and trainings.
