The Role: SR.ENGINEER, PLANNING (Eastern Region)

We are seeking a SR.ENGINEER, PLANNING for the Eastern Region, based in Riyadh. This full-time role involves conducting critical path analyses, recommending mitigating actions, reviewing target budgets, and initiating monthly progress reports for project updates. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop fully integrated Baseline EPC Level 3 schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create Level 2 Schedules to support proposals.
• Conduct monthly updates of Project Master Level 3 schedules.
• Perform Critical Path Analyses and propose mitigating actions as needed.
• Produce progress, productive curves, and earned value reports.
• Facilitate regular project team reviews, Public Planning Meetings, and Last Planner Meetings.
• Develop recovery schedules, revised baselines, and conduct delay analyses.
• Attend Lead Engineer’s Meetings.
• Proactively highlight potential delays to the project control manager or project manager.
• Support the project team in developing action plans to prevent or minimize cost and schedule overruns.
• Track budgets and communicate budget impacts to the project control manager.
• Update budgets within SAP.
• Review target budgets in collaboration with engineering, project, and construction management teams.

Accountability Areas

This role encompasses accountability in several key areas, including Scheduling Management, Cost Control Management, Contract Deliverables, Resource Planning, and Reporting. Additionally, the position requires proficiency in HR processes, a focus on delivery, problem-solving capabilities, commitment to quality, involvement in business process improvements, and adherence to compliance, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant planning or project control role.
• Demonstrated experience with Primavera P6 for schedule development and management.
• Familiarity with SAP for budget updates.
• Strong analytical skills for critical path analysis and delay analysis.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within alfanar Group's operations in the Eastern Region. The role involves working within a dynamic EPC environment, collaborating with various project teams and management levels to ensure project success and adherence to international standards.
