The Role of Senior Financial Accountant

Daa International is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with operations also in Umluj. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and control of the organization’s financial records. The role involves leading general ledger accounting, balance-sheet reconciliations, month-end close processes, financial reporting, and ERP governance, working closely with the Financial Controller and the wider Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and post journals in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, appropriate support, and correct accounting period recording.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal preparation, account reviews, reconciliations, and investigation of reconciling items.
  • Liaise with head office finance teams, auditors, and system providers to resolve accounting queries, support audit requests, and maintain effective ERP governance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, journal workflows, reconciliation procedures, and ERP data quality controls.
  • Support the preparation of financial information for internal stakeholders to enable informed commercial and operational decisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to explain accounting information and resolve finance-related queries.
  • Review the financial and accounting aspects of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, including coding, budget availability, Delegation of Authority compliance, and completeness of the supporting audit trail.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, financial reporting, and management reporting.
  • Proven experience in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports, and supporting schedules as part of structured month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or a similar finance platform.
  • Experience in business partnering with non-finance stakeholders is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
