Storekeeper

About the Role

Red Sea Global Hospitality is seeking a Storekeeper to manage the day-to-day operations of the storeroom in Tabuk. This full-time role involves overseeing the receiving, storage, organization, issuance, and control of all goods and supplies. The Storekeeper will lead the storeroom team and collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, and operational departments to ensure efficient inventory management. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the organization, storage, and handling of materials and supplies within the storeroom.
• Ensure inventory is stored appropriately to prevent damage, contamination, loss, or waste.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks to ensure record accuracy.
• Monitor stored goods and report damaged, expired, missing, or discrepant items.
• Oversee the receiving of deliveries, verifying goods against purchase orders and documentation.
• Report any shortages, damages, discrepancies, or expired items to relevant managers and follow up with suppliers.
• Control the issuance and distribution of goods to departments based on approved requisitions.
• Implement stock rotation procedures, including FIFO, to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all stock transactions and inventory movements.
• Coordinate periodic inventory counts, reconciliations, and audits with the Finance team.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve stock-related issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized storeroom, adhering to health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
• Supervise, guide, and train Storeroom Assistants, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Support the Purchasing Manager and Chief Accountant with daily operational and inventory-related activities.

Required Experience and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role.
• Proficiency in managing receiving, storage, issuance, and control of goods.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles, including stock accuracy and waste minimization.
• Experience with stock rotation procedures such as FIFO.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records for all stock transactions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with purchasing, finance, and operational departments.
• Leadership skills to supervise and train Storeroom Assistants.
• Commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards within storage areas.
